Lita, Derek and Melonie Mathew's, from the Gathering of the Nations Pow Wow Committee They had traveled on a cruise ship to our island and danced with us. Wonderful people and new friends were made. |
| Honor the Children There were many children who attended with their parents, grandparents, aunties and uncles. Here is lil Gabriel Gates, son of Michael and Michelle Gates of Big Island Hawaii. Our Elder, Joseph American Horse made the comment that he appreciated that we cleared the grounds of vehicles as to make this a "safe place for our children". He had shared that "many children get hurt from vehicles at pow wow's back home(South Dakota) because all them are parked right up all around." |
